Travel broadens the mind?

Once again, the reviewer has been granted exclusive access to early drafts of a startling new book. Following the runaway success of his previous book, David "Tut" Duncan has been persuaded to commit more of his wisdom to paper.

"After the media attention resulting from the last book", he says, "I had intended to retire quietly, and spend the next few years working in my garden. After that, I was hoping to complete my Encyclopedia of Rose Cultivars".

So what happened to change his mind? "Obviously, I was getting a lot of letters from readers. The same questions kept coming up again and again - what advice could I give for people intending to travel abroad? In the long run, it just seemed easier to write it down".

  • Companionship. Whilst remembering that many European cultures are more liberal than ours in such matters, you should not rush into situations. You may have misinterpreted the signs. If you do find a companion, be discreet;
  • Remember - safety at all times;
